heres a little bit of what weve been up to lately.

this is tomato, the crazy thumb cat who lives outside our new(and old!) place..shes so cute!

i made kramer a bow tie collar just because its so stinkin cute

we finally brought over the washer and dryer, immediately after, the washing machine broke & gushed water all over the kitchen.

i made another pinterest craft....egg carton flowers for our white string lights

i was graced with my husbands presence on a weekday, so so rare! he quit his current job & got a whole day off since he didnt start his new job till the following monday. 

so he finally got to meet sweet hazel girl!

for mothers day we got my mom a bird bath for the yard & we brought magnos mom over her favorite meal & movies.

magnos been getting off around 4 everyday this week which for us is REALLY early plus the weather has been amazing so we went to the circle and had dinner together for the first time in months and months! we only stayed about 20 minutes so it was a short dinner date but still nice:)

I did it! I bit the bullet & repainted the room I just painted a few weeks ago.  It wasn't that bad & it sure it a whole lot better!! So here is our new bedroom.  Its cramped because we had to fit a whole apartment into one room basically....almost all our stuff is in the garage stored away but we had to be able to fit our everyday stuff we need into a teeny tiny bedroom.  So far its working..i've always said, no matter how small your space is everything will fit if its organized!! We still have a few things to do, but its looking a lot better.

This is the wall to the left when you walk it.  We added another bar for clothes in the closet, and we took off the doors and added curtains. i like to be able to see all my stuff!  The bookcase is just more storage, and of course I have to see my wedding dress at all times!;)

This is the wall on your far right when you walk in which has a view of the backyard..i wanna put a bird feeder or something near my window so i can see & hear birdies all day!:)

so even though it was unplanned & totally chaotic, we moved!! yep, again. this is our 6th move in 5 years.  totally normal, right?  NOT!!!!! For 2 people who HATE moving as much as we do, we sure do it a lot.  Anyways, heres how this move came about.  Like I mentioned a few posts ago, Magno is going to be starting another job.  In his position, even though he gets paid hourly, he also gets paid commission, & it takes a while for the commission to kick in once he starts the job.  So, coming off an already hard financial position from his crazy job year, we were both worried that staying in irvine wouldn't be the smartest choice because of how high rent is alone.  We want to have more of a cushion so that money is that last thing he's worried about going into this new job, where he will be working 10 hours a day 6 days a week.  So, we decided to move back to orange into the apartment we left from last September.  My sister still lives there & had a somewhat spare bedroom, so we decided that would be a good option for us, at least for the summer while Magno gets his groove at the new job.  It also works out perfectly because my sister works for a school, so her income is cut in half over the summer when school is out.  So I think its just one of those things where everything seemed to work, so we just did it!  Our apartment lease in irvine wasnt up until the end of July though, so I posted an ad on Craigslist to see if somebody wanted to sublet it from us.  Low and behold, they did!  On Thursday I went to hang out with my friend at downtown disney and I came home to this.

Not only did the new renters want it, but they needed us to be out by Saturday!!! I panicked a little, but got straight to work.  Magno had to work all day Friday so that didn't help, but I had our friend Hector there with me all day luckily.  This is what it lookedl like by Friday night.  Poor kramer, his eyes say HELP ME!!!

On Saturday night at midnight, this is what it looked like.

we lucked out and the same people who wanted our apartment also wanted our couch, so we sold that & didnt have to move it, win win!! On sunday morning we woke up and magno took one last trip to the irvine apartment to drop off keys and stuff like that.  Then we dropped everyting & ignored the fact that the entire new apartment looked like a bomb went off and went to see the avengers with my parents and our moving helper hector:) It was SUCH a good movie.  Then, back to reality.  So today, Monday night, this is what our new room rooms like.  This is the same room I helped my sister paint yellow just a few weeks ago, not having any clue we would move in here! So now, I'm gunna try to live with the yellow walls but I already hate it so Im thinking i'll have to paint it haha.  Here it is now, totally cluttered, all of our stuff is just HERE, but not where it belongs! So thats where I'll be working on this whole week.

and heres the color i plan on painting the bedroom as soon as i get enough energy.

its been a while..

heres what we've been up to lately!

last week my sister was on spring break so i went over & helped her start the redo on her spare bedroom. i forgot to take a before picture but the walls were tan...heres the "during"

and heres what it looked like at the end of the day

the next project was the kitchen.  living in old town orange everything is vintage, in her case it wasnt cute vintage it was 70's vintage.  So part of our kitchen redo was tearing up the hideous 70's contact paper and replacing it with cute contact paper.  i forgot to take a before also=/

we also moved her microwave & re arranged a few things.  Still lots to do in there but when we started the kitchen makeover (when me and my hubby lived there last year) it looked like this

so now that it looks like this, its a lot better but far from a dream kitchen!

i also made some heart art from some paint chips i stole grabbed from home depot when we were there getting some stuff.

one day when we have a place big enough for an office/craft room for me, thats where they'll be:)

 i also started going to the gym last month! it was random and unexpected but now i go at least 4 times a week and i actually love it!  it even inspired me to make a yummy healthy meal (cilantro chili burgers with pico de gallo rice on a bed of spinach) which is now my new favorite meal, it was SO good!

and to end my sisters spring break we took a sisters trip to san diego where we enjoyed an awesome hotel room and beautiful 80 degree weather!

after a long way home due to tons of traffic, we got to my parents house for easter.  my mom made us adorable easter baskets and i contributed the deviled eggs.  i spent all day friday dying and peeling them before we went to san diego...it was definitely a labor of love but they turned out good!

now excuse me while i go clean the crap out of our apartment! i left my husband, his friend, and his brother here alone all weekend so im gunna sanitize every single surface & light all my candles & forget the whole thing ever happened.
